Otsego County Sheriffs Arrest Two Oneonta Men on Drug Charges

Two suspected drug dealers were arrested last week by the Otsego County sheriff’s office.

Claude J. Grant, 27, and Ricky L. Taylor, 35, both of Oneonta, were arrested Friday following a two-week investigation by Oneonta police and the Otsego County sheriff’s office. With the help of a K-9, investigators seized cocaine, marijuana, packaging material, cash and a loaded semi-automatic rifle.

The two were charged with 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 4th degree conspiracy, both felonies; 2nd degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, a violation.

Both were taken to the Otsego County jail on $25,000 bail each. If convicted they could spend up to nine years in prison.
