Since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, businesses everywhere have had to follow the Governor's reopening mandates to slow the spread of COVID-19. The reopening plan has been dependent upon the number of confirmed virus cases in a given region and the type of business. Malls have been one of the last entities to reopen due to safety concerns over indoor air quality. With that said, it's been a long haul for the Oneonta Southside Mall to gradually reopen its businesses and yesterday, this message was posted on the mall's facebook page...

"Thank you to our loyal customers for supporting all of our essential businesses during our pandemic shutdown. The mall is now open with the exception of a few local businesses, Myers Cabinetry, Sunburst Reflections, Luncheons and Dragons, and the Southside Mall Cinemas. Please check with the individual stores for hours of operation. Most interior mall stores are open from 10 am to 7 pm. Looking forward to seeing you and serving you once again."

This is another step in the positive direction of some semblance of "normalcy" and literally getting back to business.
