Oneonta High School's lock down Monday morning was a result of a possible weapon on campus, according to a message sent to parents.

However, there wasn't a weapon on campus and a student who was not named was detained by Oneonta police.

OHS was on lock down until 9:30 a.m., classroom doors were locked, blinds were closed and students were told to remain quiet.

All faculty and students are safe.
