Milford Helping to Raise Funds for Local Injured Firefighters

The Milford Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Squad is raising money for two Cooperstown firefighters injured while fighting a blaze in Middlefield. A fireman’s boot is in the Milford Corner Store for residents to donate money for Scott Monington and Jon Roach who were among five firefighters battling a garage fire in Middlefield last month in which explosions occurred. The two were treated for burns at Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse and are now back home.
