Driver With ‘Legoland License’ Led Police On 35-Mile Car Chase

Kent Police - in the UK - were taken for quite the ride the other night when a 35-mile car chase broke out, lasting nearly half an hour and requiring a helicopter to help keep up with the driver.

Originally, the officers tried to pull the Audi A1 over in Bexley, a southeast London neighborhood, but the driver sped down the road and out of the capitol.

Nearly half an hour and 35 miles later, the car ran out of gas near Minster, a seaside town.

After officer searched the suspect vehicle, the only form of identification they could find was not a valid driver's license, but a LEGOLand Driver's License that read "An Official Member of the LEGOLAND DRIVING SCHOOL."

The issue date on the card showed that the 21-year-old driver would have had to be two years old when he got his license.

Along with the fake license, offices found a "large amount of cannabis."

The spokesperson for the police said,

'During the early hours of Monday, February 28 2022, officers requested a vehicle to stop on the A2 in Bexley. It was pursued to the Isle of Sheppey and after running out of fuel stopped in Bell Farm Lane, Minster. A 21-year-old man from Sheerness was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of a class B drug, driving with no insurance and driving with no licence.''
