Delhi, NY is saving the day for those of us who love St. Patrick's and are either Irish and want to celebrate that heritage or just want to pretend to be Irish for a day. For years, the Village of Delhi has been hosting a St. Patrick's Day parade on the second Saturday of March and it's back this year on March 19th at 12:00 pm, on Delhi's Main St.

This parade in its 10th year, unfortunately, had to take a break in 2020 and 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic but it will return much to the delight of Delhi, and surrounding area residents who want to get back to some semblance of how life used to be and great annual events we all used to enjoy, like this one.

By having this parade AFTER St. Patrick's Day, organizers were able to get The Leatherstocking Pipes and Drums, the Schenectady Pipe Band, and even the City of Albany Pipe Band so if you love pipe bands as much as I do, this will be a parade not to miss! Of course, you can expect local fire departments to be represented and floats from different community groups.
