High School Education Art Scholarships Now Available
Our area is blessed to have so many wonderful scholarships available for high school seniors to access. From large groups, such as Dollars For Scholars, to smaller more niche scholarships, there is literally just about something for every student and in a variety of fields and professions.
Here is a wonderful opportunity for high school seniors who will be pursuing art studies in college to tap into some local scholarship funds.
The scholarships are being made available by the Cooperstown Art Association. The scholarships will be available to all students in the following school districts: Cherry Valley-Springfield, Cooperstown, Edmeston, Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, Laurens, Milford, BOCES, Morris Mount Markham, Owen D. Young, Richfield Springs, Schenevus and Worcester. There will be up to $1,400 in scholarship monies available to those accepted.
Applicants will be asked to submit samples of five pieces of original art to the committee. These must be submitted directly to them online. Each portfolio submitted by students will be judged by local artists and professionals in consideration for the scholarship.
Entrees must be submitted no later than Saturday June 12 at 4:00 p.m. This is one of our area's most creative scholarship opportunities. We know that there are many talented artists in our area schools and we encourage them to try for this scholarship grant. It is important to remember that this scholarship will be made available to students who are committed to study art at the college level.
