Delaware County Sheriff's Office investigation involving the theft of an ATV on April 22 in the Town of Roxbury led police to a Grand Gorge man who was arrested on May 12 according to the Sheriff's Office.

Charles Dieterich, 24 years old of Grand Gorge has been charged on the following:
· Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree
· Burglary in the Third Degree
· Grand Larceny in the Third Degree
· Attempted Grand Larceny in the Third Degree
· Endangering the Welfare of a Child

 

New York State Police Investigators also arrested and charged Dieterich with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree in relation to the stolen keys that were recovered at the scene on April 22. The February, 2019, burglary investigation remains on-going by Margaretville State Police Investigators.

On May 12, Dieterich was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility to be held without bail pending further action in the Town of Roxbury Court on a later date. The Schoharie County Probation Department has been informed of Mr. Dieterich’ arrest and are expected to violate the terms of his probation as a result of this arrest.
