A Southern Tier nurse has been convicted of stealing oxycodone pills for her own personal use.

A man in need of quick medical assistance was found by Deputy Samantha Acuna in his home. The man was suffering from a stroke and Acuna performed necessary first aid at the scene.

During April, NYSP will be participating in National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The crackdown will include increased patrol and checkpoints targeting drivers using electronic devices. The enhanced enforcement will run through April 11th.
