It may soon be illegal to fly drones in Cooperstown. At Monday’s Board of Trustees meeting an ordinance was considered to ban launching drones from public property within the village. Village leaders say the concern is to keep things safe especially when tourism is at its peak. Under the proposed measure drone owners could face a one thousand dollar fine and confiscation of their drones. The proposed law could be voted on when the board meets Monday for administrative business.
