The Barnyard Saints based out of the southern tier consider themselves to be an outlaw country band. Members include: William Pentzien, Joseph Inga, Dennis Walrath, Brian Vollmer, Chad Darou.

Based out of Roxbury, NY, Evvergreen is a 4-piece alternative/indie rock band playing a wide array of original songs plus many popular cover tunes.

The Hop City Hellcats are based out of Oneonta and play original songs mixing classic outlaw country and blues and according to the band, "an always-evolving blend of tasty covers that blew out of honkytonk jukeboxes back in the day." Band members include Randy Miratello, Evan Jagels, John Thompson, and Ted Potrikus. They often invite musician friends to play with them.

The Horseshoe Lounge Playboys have been an Oneonta area staple for many years, playing mostly original and traditional "roots" material – some call Backwoods Americana – some Hillbilly dance music. Members include Randy Miritello, Will Lunn, Darin Trass, and Tom Wetmore.
