Twenty seven years ago today, Dire Straits scored their first U.S. number single with "Money for Nothing".  This song had a major push behind it, MTV.  Heavy exposure of the video contributed to the success of this single in 1985.  Computer graphics were some different then but at the time it was truly high tech.  It certainly didn't hurt that the MTV slogan at the time was used in the song, "I want my MTV".  Check out the graphics for yourself and don't forget to tune into our Friday Flashback at 9am.
