Delaware County to Upgrade Emergency Response Radio System

Emergency responders in Delaware County will soon have better radio communications.

Towers are going up for a new $15 million system that will help emergency personnel with their radio communications. There will be more channels to use, and more towers to cover the mountain terrain.

The new system will go live in 2015. The cost of the new service will be paid in part by state and federal grants.
