Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people in connection with an alleged arson in the Town of Delhi. 34-year-old Amanda Nodine is facing felony and misdemeanor charges including violating an order of protection and setting a fire that damaged property. Separately, Nodine’s alleged co-conspirator, Chance Byington, 25, is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges related to the case.
Authorities have identified victims in two separate fatal crashes in Delaware County. The sheriff’s office said 29-year-old Danielle Migdal of Norwich was killed in a two vehicle accident July 26th in Davenport Center. She was a passenger of a car that was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of Route 23 and Route 10. In the second incident, Tammy M. Oefelein, 58, of Bainbridge was killed in a one-vehicle accident on July 31st. State police said Oefelein’s vehicle went off the road, hit a tree, and caught fire.
25-year-old Clayton E. Truax of Roseboom was arrested by Otsego County Sheriff’s deputies and charges with assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities allege that Truax hit a child with a metal water bottle causing an eye injury.
Jose A. Juarez-Garrido, 23, of Plainfield, NJ has been charged with drunk driving and speeding. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Juarez-Garrido in the Village of Walton.
