The tri-county health department reports from Chenango, Delaware and Otsego County show an increase in numbers.

Chenango County Health Department officials provided an update on COVID-19 in the county. Health officials say that an individual from the Broome County Health Department is confirmed with the virus and was at Lippy's Bar & Grill in Greene last Thursday. Health officials are cautioning that anyone at that business, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm that night may have been exposed and should monitor their health for possible coronavirus symptoms. If symptoms arise, it is recommended to contact a health provider.

Delaware County Public Health received 4 new case reports Thursday for a total of 205 (since March) with 48 cases active and 6 people remain hospitalized from COVID-19.

The Otsego County Department of Health reported 3 new coronavirus cases on Thursday for a total of 1042 (since March). There are currently 45 active cases with no hospitalizations. Nearly 754 probable and confirmed cases are linked to SUNY Oneonta students while Hartwick College has 57 confirmed cases.

Health officials remind residents that symptoms of COVID can be very mild:
congestion
headache
runny nose

It is recommended that if you develop ANY symptoms, please get tested, isolate yourself and do not go to work. In addition, if you have any symptoms, wear a mask at home and social distance to protect those you live with. Wash hands frequently.
