There’s a popular TV show going on for families, and it’s not on the major networks.

The Cornell University bird laboratory has live webcams pointed at some blue herons and a pair of red-tailed hawks. Both have newly hatched chicks.

The website has become very popular with both researchers and individuals interested in the ongoing drama of the birds.

Cornell’s Laboratory of Ornithology is a center near the Ithaca campus for those interested in birds and the home of the McCauley Library of Natural Sounds that holds thousands of audio and now video recordings of birds and wildlife.
