Season 4 of ‘Glee’ will surely start off with a bang, as it has been reported that Adele‘s ‘Chasing Pavements’ will be the first group number performed on the hit Fox show. The news was revealed yesterday (July 31) with a post on the official ‘Glee’ Twitter page.

‘Glee’ and Adele already have a pretty solid history together. Early last season, the singers feted their Columbia Records label mate with fantastic a cappella takes on ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Turning Tables.’ Even if you aren’t a fan of ‘Glee’ but dig Adelle, the performances were so good that they may change your mind.

Then, later in the season during an episode celebrating the show’s 300th musical performance, the ’Glee’ choir rocked a mash-up of ‘Rumour Has It’ and ‘Someone Like You’ that may have been the biggest thing to happen to Adele stateside since taking home six trophies at the Grammys earlier in the year.

‘Glee’ character Brittany gushed of Adele: ”She sounds like what banana creme pie sounds like when it sings.” A singing banana creme pie? Sounds delicious. We’ d order two, but Adele, of course, is one of a kind.

The new season of ‘Glee’ is set to premiere on Sept. 13 at 9PM ET — which means that yes, it’s airing on Thursdays this season — and an hour later than last season, as well.
