Otsego County Fair Excitement is Building [Photos]

The Otsego County Fair starts Tuesday July 31rst but fair exhibitors started  moving in yesterday to Morris N.Y.  While visiting the sheep barn yesterday, I met a great family who have a unique story.  They have come to the Otsego County fair as spectators for 15 years but this will be their first year exhibiting.  Coming from New Jersey, they now reside in Gilbertsville, N.Y. and will show their Jacob sheep.  Look for the crazy horns.

If you build it, they will come.  I'm  not sure if people realize all the work that goes into the exhibits at the fair.  Long time dairy exhibitors, the Lasher family and Bates family, work  hard on the reserved areas for their cows constructing beds and back drops.   Each area is unique to the exhibitor that it's assigned to.

My kids dropped off their pictures that they entered at Floral Hall and they are having a great time helping their cousins with their animals.  Tomorrow is the official opening of the Otsego County Fair and I'll be broadcasting live from 11am to 1pm.  My 13th live broadcast from the  fair!
