The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum has announced that due to safety concerns connected with COVID19, all 2021 Hall of Fame Classic Weekend events have been cancelled. According to Jane Forbes Clark, Chairman of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, the continuing uncertainties created by COVID-19, have caused the Board of Directors to decide not to hold Induction Weekend ceremonies at the traditional Clark Sports Center location. Alternative plans to conduct the annual Awards Presentation and Induction Ceremony as television events will take place indoors and adhering to all of the required New York State guidelines.” 2020’s cancelation marked the first time the Hall of Fame did not hold an Induction Ceremony in Cooperstown since 1960.
