Can a happy marriage really come down to two words? According to a study  out of University of California, Berkeley, it really can be that simple.  What are the magic words?"Thank you" are the words responsible for marital bliss.  Okay, let's break it down a little.

Researchers found that when a person feels appreciated by their partner, they would then be appreciative of their partner the next day. Then that partner feels special and returns that feeling etc., etc.  It really creates a nice cycle.  Just by saying "thank you" you are acknowledging your partners role and contributions in the relationship.  Seems easy enough.  Who doesn't want to feel appreciated?

Dan brought up a good point this morning...what if you are arguing?  "Thank you for throwing that plate at my head" doesn't seem like it would produce positive feelings.
