The music of AC/DC rocks several generations and people still get pumped whenever the amps are kicking out the tunes.  Today in music history, August 9, 1980, AC/DC scored their first number one album in the U.K. with "Back In Black".    This would be the Australian band's first record without former lead singer, Bon Scott, who died on February 19, 1980 of alcohol abuse.  Brian Johnson took over lead vocals and the album was released as a tribute to Scott.

To date, the album has sold over 50 million copies worldwide,  making it the best selling album by a band.
