Update: Man Shoots Estranged Wife in Harpursville
UPDATE: New York State Police are reporting that Timothy J. Wilcox who was a Broome County Security Division peace officer, has died. See prior details of the case below posted on June 22nd:
On Friday night, New York State Police and Broome County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting on Light Road in Harpursville, NY. According to NY State Police, Meghan M. Wilcox, age 35 was shot by her estranged husband, 38-year-old Timothy J. Wilcox, who is a peace officer with the Broome County Security Division. A 16 year old was present in the house at the time of the shooting. T. Wilcox then shot himself.
Both are in critical condition - M. Wilcox at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City and T. Wilcox at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
The investigation is ongoing, more information will be released as it becomes available.
