Two Oneonta Troopers Injured in Delaware County Traffic Incident

Two New York State troopers were injured in a January 2nd incident in Delaware County.

Two Oneonta troopers were assisting a motorist who had slid off State Route 28 in the Town of Meredith. As the troopers were seated in their patrol vehicle with emergency lights activated, their vehicle was struck from behind. The driver, Baburao N. Samudrala, 45, of Delhi, lost control of her vehicle while traveling northbound on the snow covered roadway.

The two troopers were transported to A.O. FOX Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Ms. Samudrala was not injured.

The New York State Police is continuing the investigation.
