Two Days In A Row: Chenango County Suffers Another COVID Death
After reporting yesterday and 8th COVID-19 related death of a Chenango County resident, a 9th death related to the virus has occurred. The Chenango County Department of Health has not revealed the individual’s name, gender or residency. The county has 430 total confirmed COVID-19 cases with 29 active and 7 hospitalized.
In Otsego County, 14 new cases were reported yesterday by the county's health department, with 10 attributed to a residential group home in Oneonta, and 2 are college students. The total is now at 1,039 (since March) with 47 currently active and 8 total deaths related to coronavirus complications.
Delaware County Public Health recorded 8 new COVID-19 cases yesterday with 47 active in the county. The total confirmed cases (since March) are 201 with 9 virus related deaths. Five people are currently hospitalized.
The Governor and all of our county health departments are advising diligence with handwashing, wearing masks in public, and for everyone to continue with social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19.
