Turning Stone Celebrates 20th Anniversary

The Oneida Indian Nation is planning a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Turning Stone Casino project in Verona.

Oneida Indian Nation representative Ray Halbritter told a State Senate panel Monday that Turning Stone Casino has spurned thousands of jobs, improved tourism and bolstered the economy in a struggling part of the state.

Halbritter said the tribe is now producing films and just opened The Upstate Tavern, which features New York wines and beers.
