Looking at COVID-19 case numbers reported by The Otsego County Department of Health (2/28): there were 17 new confirmed cases yesterday with 6 people currently hospitalized with complications from the virus.  There are currently 131 known active cases in the county with a total of 52 COVID-19 related deaths. Delaware County Health officials have an update from yesterday (2/28), reporting 11 new cases yesterday. There are 98 active and there are 10 people hospitalized. For COVID-19 vaccine information, county health officials recommend visiting www.nyuhs.org/southerntiervax. DCPH has 1st and 2nd dose clinics scheduled this week for essential 1B workers and people with comorbidities but all clinics are full. Officials suggest for those 65 and older, you can call The Office for the Aging at 607-832-5750 to schedule an appointment at a Public Health Clinic. Also, there are select local pharmacies where a limited amount of vaccines are administered. You can call your local pharmacy to find out when/if they will be receiving vaccine. The vaccine will continue to be available for people over 65 at pharmacies and state mass vaccination sites. Additional assistance with getting a vaccine is available to New Yorkers through the NY State COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline: 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829). The COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline is open 7AM - 10PM, 7 days week, to help New Yorkers determine if they are eligible and schedule vaccination appointments.

In Chenango County, the health department reported new COVID-19 stats for 2/26 on their facebook page.
