A Chenango County organization that provides major home repairs for low income, elderly and handicapped homeowners has opened its second office. The Impact Project held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday at the office in Sherburne. The nonprofit’s other office is in Greene. At the ribbon cutting officials announced they will now be working on rehabilitating zombie properties, homes where people used to live but abandoned resulting in the dwellings falling into bad shape. Work is already underway on the organization’s first abandoned home donated by Wells Fargo.
