The Fokine Ballet Company will be performing its 29th annual production of The Nutcracker, in the Goodrich Theater, on the SUNY Oneonta Campus. Performances are on Friday, December 16th and Saturday, December 17th at 7 p.m. If you can’t attend the night shows, catch the Saturday matinee at 1 p.m. The Fokine Ballet Company gives the opportunity for young dancers to perform alongside professional dancers of the highest excellence. This performance of The Nutcracker is based off the original production for the Ballet Russe in 1940, re-staged by Alexandra Fokine, along with Irine Fokine’s 1957 production. Admission is $15 for students and seniors, and $20 to the general public. Tickets are available at Green Toad Bookstore, The Eighth Note, Cooperstown Art Association, and Rachel’s Framing and Fine Art in Delhi. Tickets can also be purchased through the Decker School of Ballet.
