‘The Bachelorette,’ Hilary Duff’s New Haircut + More – Crushes of the Week
Here at PopCrush, we obsess over all things pop just as much as our readers do. Every week, you’ll be able to get to know us a little bit better as we gush about our personal favorite pop culture-related things at this very moment. Read on to find out what our editors are crushing on this week!
Season 10 of 'The Bachelorette'
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Juan Pablo has permanently changed the rules of the 'The Bachelor' -- for the better. I've never been interested in the show, but as Andi Dorfman begins her quest for love, I find myself addicted.
Maybe it's Chris Harrison's soothing presence, maybe it's a cast of (generally) interesting dates, or maybe it's just Andi's personality. No matter the reason, I've already declared my Monday nights occupied by bowl of popcorn and a fantastical search for romance. - Maggie Malach, Senior Editor
Hilary Duff's Haircut
I love, love, love when celebrities chop their hair. (Rita Ora, I'm looking at you!) Hilary Duff, a longtime wearer of below-the-shoulder-locks, is the latest star to take the plunge. And, naturally, I'm totally into it.
The look is summer-ready, edgy, and definitely an updated 'do for the singer and actress. It's so fun and versatile and definitely brings out a new side of Hilary. - Maggie Malach, Senior Editor
Sam Hunt's 'Speakers' Video
This week, we exclusively premiered country artist Sam Hunt's 'Speakers' music video, and the second I heard the track I knew it was going to be my summer jam. I'm a sucker for any country tune about starry summer skies and pickup trucks and this one is no exception. It's a little slow, a little sultry and all summer. This one will be on repeat for sure! - Michelle McGahan, Associate Editor
Cody Simpson as High School Valedictorian
When I first found out that Cody Simpson was his high school valedictorian, I was pretty darn impressed. And when I watched his inspirational speech (only he can use the word "sexy" in a graduation address and get away with it!) I was even more impressed. There's a guy who genuinely believes in the importance of intelligence -- and it's the number one thing he looks for in a girl, too. At the age of 17 in a fast-paced career, it's refreshing to hear that he's into a girl with some serious smarts. Take note, Angels! - Michelle McGahan, Associate Editor
