Here's a fun way to celebrate Father's Day with dad.

The local Dave Brandt Chapter 201, Trout Unlimited is seeking donations of new or used fishing rods and reels for free distribution to local youth.  They have been collecting and refurbishing these items for years and so far have given away over 1,000 outfits to kids to use to fish...

This Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Southside Mall, you can help Trout Unlimited raise funds to send a child to DEC camp.  In addition to the fundraiser, children can enter to win complete spin fishing outfits given away every half hour.  Prizes for adults, too.

Bring the kids to Neahwa Park in Oneonta, N.Y. this Sunday, June 16, 2013.  Our local Trout Unlimited chapter is hosting a kids fishing derby from noon-2pm.  Various awards in both age groups, 5 to 10 year olds and 11 to 15 year olds.  Anyone over sixteen must have a fishing license...
