Yesterday marked the 30th Anniversary for the movie and soundtrack, "Purple Rain".  This, in my opinion is one of the best movie soundtracks ever.  Who can deny the huge hits, "Let's Go Crazy", "I Would Die 4 U", "Darling Nikki", "When Doves Cry" and the feature ballad, "Purple Rain."

It's hard to imagine that anyone's partying technique would be too much for Prince's tastes; this is, after all, a man who sings about partying like it's 1999 and the sexiness of cheap thrift-store finds with equal adoration. In one of the most interesting pop music pairings we've ever heard of, Prince and Zooey Deschanel have teamed up for Prince's new song, 'FALLINLOVE2NITE.' The funky tune, which the duo also performed on last night's episode of 'New Girl,' was released today, March 17.

We are still trying to figure out if this real. It seems real. But, can we be sure? Either way, the Twitter account from which this incredible art from Prince's latest single "Breakfast can Wait" is verified and, at the very least, assured to come from The Artist himself.

Prince seems to be gearing up for another big comeback. The typically reclusive performer appears on the cover of the current issue of Billboard and has been releasing new music, including the just-issued lyric video for a song called 'Screw Driver.'

Morris Day, of Morris Day and The Time, is celebrating his 56 birthday today, December 13, 2012.  "What time is it?"  A big catch phrase for the group.  We were first introduced to Morris Day and The Time in the major motion picture "Purple Rain" starring Prince.
