Here's a way to show Oneonta High School's seniors that our community cares about them

The 20th annual Students Against Destructive Decisions run was held in Oneonta yesterday.

April 19th will mark the 17th Annual S.A.D.D. Strides For Safety 5K Run/Walk and Health Fair which benefits local SADD Chapter after-prom parties and programming to keep our kids safe and help them make good, healthy choices.

Mark your calendars for the 16th Annual SADD 5k Walk/Run and Health Fair, Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Oneonta High School. This event raises money for area schools' SADD chapters.

The Oneonta City School Board of Education has a new president. Jamie Reynolds was voted into this position, with Bill Grau taking over as vice president, on Wednesday. Current Board Member Grace Larkin served as president for more than five years, while another current board member, Rosalie Higgins, was the VP for the last two years...

The Oneonta Dollars for Scholars presentations took place yesterday afternoon at the Hunt Union Ballroom at SUNY Oneonta. Jacki Rowe, President of the Oneonta Dollars for Scholars Board of Directors, says this program for Oneonta High School students has grown exponentially over the years.

After winning high school state baseball championship and now national championship at the NCAA Division II level, Micheal Calkins is still in Tampa but has a good excuse. Calkins says The Tampa Bay Rays have extended an invitation to the University of Tampa baseball team to come to its game Friday night against the Orioles.

Two high school state champs from Oneonta are now competing for a title in college. Micheal Calkins and Zach Pidgeon were key members of the Oneonta baseball team that won the state crown last year.
