NYSEG is asking its customers to conserve energy during this extended period of high heat and thunderstorms.

NYSEG has launched a free online energy efficiency program for residential customers called Energy Saver. The program provides personalized energy-saving recommendations and rewards NYSEG customers with points based on how much energy they save. The points can be redeemed for discounts from online retailers.

State Senator James Seward on Monday announced that after making multiple appeals, NYSEG is scheduled to take several steps to improve electrical service in the Town and Village of Laurens in Otsego County.
