The highest award presented to a Junior in the Girl Scouts program, is the Bronze Award.  Local Junior Troop 728 has worked for an entire year on a project that will earn the girls this award.  Join the fun as the Juniors host "A Pets Day Out" at Neahwa Park in Oneonta, New York, on Saturday, September 7, 2013.

This Labor Day weekend is the 6th Annual Susquehanna Balloon Festival in Neahwa Park, Oneonta, New York.  Hot air balloons will launch "on the sixes", 6am and 6pm from Friday evening to Sunday morning. The eastern entrance to Neahwa Park will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to CP Rail repairs to the railroad crossing at James Georgeson Avenue.

A ceremony is scheduled to recognize "Bike Friendly Otsego County,” which improved roads and trails for cyclists in the area, at 10 a.m. Monday in Catella Park, Oneonta.

Mark your calendar on September 8th for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Community Walk.  Donna Lang was in the studio this morning to tell us about the upcoming event.  Donna lost her own son to suicide and wants to help educate people about the signs of suicide and help save lives.

Only a week away until our Hometown 4th of July Celebration! A full day of family fun at Neahwa Park in Oneonta, NY and admission is FREE!  Some changes this year that we know everyone will be excited about include two stages!  Two stages for nonstop music all day long kicking off at noon.  Also, the celebration will spread out further across the park this year.
