The 2012 MTV Movie Awards got off to a solid start Sunday night with the drum beats of fun.‘s ever-present hit ‘We Are Young’ kicking off the show.

Here is a review of our Top 8@8. After three weeks on top, FUN. falls to number two giving us a new number one song.

Fun. have produced one of the biggest hits of 2012 in ‘We Are Young,’ and according to guitarist Jack Antonoff, this is only the beginning.

As acts that seemingly came out of nowhere to score the year’s two biggest hits so far, fun. and Gotye have a lot in common. The guys of fun. have paid tribute to their fellow chart-topper with a cover of ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore.
