Fair season is here! The first local fair of the season is the Otsego County Fair and it starts next Tuesday, July 29th and runs through August 3rd.

Warmer weather the past couple of days has everyone thinking summer.  Grilling, chilling and going to the county fair (whatever county you are in).  I saw this first video on our sister station's, WDLAFM, facebook page and started to get the fever myself.  It was filmed at the Delaware County Fair, Walton, New York, in 2012 and captures the good times that both exhibitors and visitors have. In a recent post, I talked about the value of our local county fairs versus The Six Flags Great Escape experience. I know you won’t find roller coasters at one of our local county fairs but you will find a whole lot more for your money than at one of the big fancy amusement parks.
