This traditional holiday dessert has gotten a bad wrap through the years.  Jokes about being used as door stops or speed bumps, being the one the most re-gifted items during Christmas, and the punch line to many holiday jokes.  Well, I never thought I would say this, but

Downtown was full of excitement and holiday cheer last night at the Tree Lighting Ceremony.  Singers, dancers, gingerbread displays, horse drawn carriage rides, cookies, cocoa,  Santa, oh the list goes on and on.

Be sure to head to Main Street Oneonta, N.Y. on December 4 for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Wonderland Gingerbread Contest.  Plus the Holiday Story Walk will be featured.

Enjoy a delicious meal and help support the efforts of the Family Service Association.
