Commerce Chenango is gearing up for the first annual Chobani-Chamber Challenge 5k run/walk through downtown Norwich on Sept. 15. Event coordinator Jill Eddy said they’ve had a great response from out of the area.

United State Senator Kirstin Gillibrand and Congressman Richard Hanna visited Chobani offices Thursday in Norwich to show support for the reclassification of Greek yogurt under USDA nutrition guidelines.

Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich was presented with a gift of more than $255,000 Friday from Chobani’s charitable arm, the Sheperd’s Gift foundation.
