March is Red Cross month, a time to remind everyone of the work of the American Red Cross in communities across the country and around the globe and how they depend on public support to help people in need.
The holidays are a difficult time for the region's blood supply. Regularly scheduled donors are usually caught up with seasonal activities, leading to a drop in scheduled donations.

The blood drive will be held at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital’s Levine conference room from 10:00 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

Residents of the Norwich area and the American Red Cross will join together for a “communities that cares" blood drive from noon-7 p.m. on Dec. 7 at Howard Johnson’s on North Broad Street.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will host a blood drive, sponsored by the American Red Cross in conjunction with Bassett Healthcare, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday in Cooper Park adjacent to the Hall of Fame in a Red Cross bloodmobile.
