Otsego County Sheriff's Office employees are participating in a fund-raising event called "No-Shave November" which is a national, web-based, non-profit organization that raises money to promote cancer awareness and to support cancer prevention, research, and education.

This past Saturday in Milford, the sun shone brightly on the many participants at the Otsego County Relay For Life event in Wilber Park.  The event featured a cancer survivors walk and dinner, inspirational speakers, a beautiful luminary remembrance ceremony, great live music and even a marriage proposal...

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is this Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Fortin Park in Oneonta, New York.  This event is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

Otsego County Relay For Life will be May 16 and 17, 2014 at Cooperstown Dreams Park, Route 28 South in Hartwick Seminary.  The event is held to take action and fight against cancer.  Proceeds go the American Cancer Society.  The Jr Kings team is having a spaghetti dinner and auction to raise funds on March 29, 2014.

This Friday, July 19, 2013 is the start of the 17th Annual Chenango County Relay For Life.  The event runs through Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Chenango County Fairgrounds in Norwich, New York.  I am pleased to be a part of the festivities as teams walk to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have battled cancer, remember those who were taken too soon and raise money to find a cure for cancer.
