State Police at Oneonta arrested a screaming Morris woman on Monday for drug possession and appearance in public under the influence of narcotics or drugs.

The arrest was made after a 911 report of a woman screaming outside of a home on Main Street in Morris. When troopers arrived they heard a woman screaming and yelling inside her residence on Main Street. When they checked the welfare of Amber Joy, 29, troopers say Joy appeared to be under the influence of a drug or narcotic. They also say they spotted a bag of marijuana on the kitchen table.

Joy was arraigned at the Town of Morris Court and remanded to the Otsego County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
