New York State Police say over 21,000 tickets were issued during the recent “Speed Week” enforcement campaign that wrapped up last Tuesday. According to the agency while most tickets were for speeders around 350 went to distracted driving such as using a hand held cell phone while behind the wheel. In Troop C which covers Oneonta more than 1,500 tickets were issues with about 800 of those for speeding.
