A World War II veteran and lifetime Oneonta resident will receive a special honor today from Senator James Seward. Frederick Sousa served in the United States Army during World War II and earned a number of military medals that he had not previously been awarded. Seward and a representative from the New York State Division of Veterans’ Affairs will present Sousa with the medals at the Oneonta Veterans Club on Chestnut Street at 4 p.m.
