Richfield Springs Woman Arrested on Identify Theft Charges

According to a press release from New York State Police Troop C, police arrested a Richfield Springs woman suspected of identity theft.  On January 8, 38-year-old Crystal G. Ray, of Richfield Springs was arrested and charged for Identity Theft in the first degree and two counts of Grand Larceny in the fourth degree. She was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification in the third degree.

The arrest was made following a complaint from a person whom Ray was paid to assist.  Ray is accused of unlawfully obtaining that person's credit card information and using it to charge over $2300.

Ray was arrested January 8, arraigned in Otsego County and released on her own recognizance.
