Regional Economic Council to Disburse $750 Million in Funding and Incentives

The 4th round of the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council got underway this week.

Round 4 will provide up to $750 million in state funding and tax incentives for business and community projects that boost the local economy. Southern Tier projects in the seven-county Southern Tier Region have received $222 million to date.

In 2013, Chenango County was awarded $1 million for eight separate projects, which included $150,000 to Development Chenango for rehabilitation of two properties in the City of Norwich.
