Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers

This morning on WSRK we recognized a number of amazing teachers by giving them a Happy National Teacher Day shout out.

We gave parents and kids in the listening area a chance to say thanks to their school's teachers.  Think about the number of students each teacher impacts during their career.  The importance of their presence as a student learns new tasks.  I come from a long line of teachers (which is odd that I'm in radio) and hold great respect for what they do.  My great grandpa, both grandmothers, mother, uncle, aunt, brother,  sister and a few cousins are all teachers.  I have seen the personal effect a good teacher can have on a student.  We were very happy to send the "shout outs" this morning to educators from Morris, Charlotte Valley, Walton, Cooperstown, Laurens, Oneonta, Milford, Otego, Delhi and many more.  Happy National Teacher Day!
