Police Warn: Stay Away From Playgrounds, Pavilions and Basketball Courts
With kids going stir crazy, it's natural to want to get them outside playing as the weather allows, however, Oneonta Police warn that there are public places you must avoid for public health: basketball courts, pavilions and playgrounds in Wilber and Neahwa Parks have been closed by the City of Oneonta. The police will be enforcing this rule for the protection of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Don't worry, there is plenty to enjoy. Feel free to enjoy all park green spaces while maintaining social distance. Anyone seen congregating in groups will be asked to disperse. While some sports, can be played while maintaining adequate social distance, players are reminded to avoid touching their faces, and wash their hands before and after play.
