Plant a Row for the Hungry Kicks Off Saturday at New Asbury Gardens

New Asbury Gardens would like to invite everyone to this Saturday's launch party for the Plant a Row for the Hungry program.

New Asbury Gardens on 248 River St. has partnered with the area food pantries to bring this program to our community.

New Asbury Gardens will provide free seeds to all who wish to participate in PAR.

It will also provide Plant a Row for the Hungry row markers & program flyers for everyone interested.

Plant a Row for the Hungry is a program that encourages gardening communities & individuals to donate their excess produce to area food pantries to help those in need. In addition to offering free seeds to any group or individual that wants to participate, Asbury Gardens will collect and deliver the seasons contributions to our area food pantries.

It will also have free workshops and seminars throughout the growing season and will host a harvest festival in late August. For more info about Saturdays event call the New Asbury Gardens at 432-8703.
