Pet Of The Week — ‘Ava May’
UPDATE: Ava May has been adopted!
Meet the Susquehanna SPCA “Pet of the Week” – her name is “Ava May”. Each week on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 am on Classic Hits 103.1fm, Leslie Ann hosts Allison Hungerford, licensed Vet Tech at the Susquehanna SPCA, who tells us all about a special dog, cat, or another animal at the shelter looking for its forever home.
This week we are going to feature Ava May, an adorable pig available for adoption at the SQSPCA. While she isn't being overlooked like many of the animals we feature, a pig is not something folks would normally look to adopt at an animal shelter so the SQSPCA wants to ensure that they raise awareness and find this beautiful girl the best-suited home. Ava May is a 1-year-old Juliana breed who weighs in at about 30 pounds. She is litter box trained and loves to explore the outdoors on her harness/leash. She also plays the piano and knows how to sit. In her previous home, Ava May's best friend was a Mastiff! Pigs can make great pets so please consider adopting Ava May.
To meet Ava May or any of the other adoptable dogs, cats, or other animals, give the SQSPCA a call at 607-547-8111 to schedule a time to visit for convenience, although walk-ins are welcome.
