Seven Otsego County residents were arrested for unlawfully growing cannabis by unlicensed person a misdemeanor.

Arrested were: Joshua Condon, 31; Jennifer Smith, 27; Justin Foster, 28; Regina Wolfrath, 27; George Ogbert III, 26; Daniel McCamley, 49; and Bradley Benedict, 30.

In August Otsego County sheriffs seized three marijuana plants that were being grown on Foster and Wolfrath’s property in Edmeston.

An investigation by the Otsego county sheriffs revealed that Foster, Wolfrath, Condon and Smith all worked together to grow the plants.

Also in August, Otsego County sheriffs seized two cannabis plants being grown by Ogbert III. In September, Otsego County sheriffs seized two cannabis plants being grown in the garden behind the residence of McCamley in Cherry Valley.

Also in September, Otsego county sheriffs seized 22 marijuana plants from the residence of Benedict in Plainfield. Benedict also possessed three quarters of a pound of processed marijuana.

All of the defendants were issued appearance tickets, and if convicted, they all could face up to a year in the Otsego County jail.
